Computers in the News -- What You Should Know

As you know, viruses and worms have been in the news a lot lately. Here is some helpful information to help you protect your computer or system from harm.

1. Protect your system with anti-virus software that can scan incoming files as well as your hard drive; get updates frequently.
2. Be extremely cautious of unsolicited emails with attachments: do not open email attachments unless they come from a trusted source. 
3. Back up the information on your hard drive regularly so that if damage is caused by a virus, your information will be safe.
